The House reached this resolution on Tuesday, following a motion by the Minority Leader of the House, Mr Femi Gbajabiamila.
The motion sought to have INEC include in its guidelines for the elections, a provision allowing registered voters with temporary voters cards to vote in the elections.
The motion passed without a debate.
The Deputy Majority Leader, Leo Ogor, also moved the motion which focused on the allegations of plans to hack the database of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
It was the first plenary session for the year as members of the House of Representatives returned from electioneering in their states.
The House also expressed concern over the distribution of the Permanent Voters Cards across country.
While the Speaker, Aminu Tambuwal, expressed concern at the low turnout of lawmakers, some more lawmakers who were decamping from their parties were present to inform the House of their decision.
The announcements, however, drew little excitement and shouts from the lawmakers.
